This Privacy Policy applies to our website, http://maintainiq.com, and our mobile app, Maintain IQ Mobile App, all owned and operated by Maintain IQ, Inc., a Delaware Corporation (“MIQ”, “us”, “we” or “our”).  MIQ services are made available to you through MIQ’s website (the “Website”) and any mobile application or online application (the “Apps).  Both the Apps and the Website together constitute our service (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, store, transfer and use data that identifies you or makes you identifiable, as a natural person (hereinafter “personal information”).

  1. Your Acceptance of Our Privacy Policy

By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by our Service and will notify you of the following:

  • Identifiers of devices used to access our Services

When you access our Service from a mobile device, we may collect unique identification numbers associated with your device or our mobile application (including, a UDID, Unique ID for Advertisers (“IDFA”), Google Ad ID, or Windows Advertising ID), device type, mobile carrier, model and manufacturer, operating system brand and model, phone number, and, depending on your mobile device settings information on your usage of our Service.

Our Service may integrate with social sharing features and other related tools which let you share actions you take on our Service with other apps, sites, or media, and vice versa. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with your business associates, friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the social sharing service. Similarly, when you interact with us through a third-party service, we may receive information from such third party service, including your profile information, picture, user ID associated with your account, and any other information you permit the third party service to share with third parties. The data we receive from these third-party sites is dependent upon that third party’s privacy policies and your privacy settings on that third-party site. You should always review and, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to our Service, if necessary.

If you participate in marketing initiatives or our online surveys or any of our, including contests, events or promotions, we collect information on the event you participated in.  If you participate in our service provider feedback form or provide reviews or provide user generated content or submissions, we collect information on the review you provided.

We may receive personal information about you from third parties and combine it with information we collect through our Service.

We are the controller of your personal information collected from accessing and using our Service. We only have access to and collect information that you voluntarily give us through the use of our Service, through email or other direct contact from you.

Information Provided by You Voluntarily.  We collect information about you and your company when you register for an account, create or modify your profile, make a purchase through our Service and or make contact with a third-party service vendor. This information includes your name, username, email address, phone number, business or employer address, business or employer name, payment card details, and service usage data and analytics. You may provide this information directly through the use of our Service or another user (such as a manager or account administrator) creating an account on your behalf may provide it. If you provide information (including personal information) about someone else, you confirm that you have the authority to act for them and to consent to the collection and use of their personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.  We also collect information you provide by participating in surveys and vendor service feedback.

Content You Create.  We collect and store content that you create, post, submit, input, upload, transmit, or store while using our Service. Such content may include business related or any personal or other sensitive information submitted while using our Service, such as receipts, contracts and or invoices from third-party service vendors, regulatory compliance materials, such as health inspection reports or scorecards, and photographs.  This information may be necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations.

Surveys & Contests. From time-to-time our site requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

Analytics.  In order to continue to improve and provide high quality, value-added service, we record and collect certain information and store it in log files when you interact with our Service. This information may include device addresses or ID numbers or Internet protocol (IP) addresses, as well as browser type, Internet service provider, URLs, operating system, date and time stamp, information that you search for, your locale, your mobile carrier, and system configuration information.

Other Submissions.  We collect other data that you may submit to our Service or to us directly, such as when you communicate with us via email or request customer support.

Information is collected in many ways and may include personal information you provide to us directly. Most of the personal information we receive comes to us voluntarily from our users in the course of creating an account and using our Service. You are free to choose which information you want to provide to us or whether you want to provide us with information at all. However, some information, such as your name, phone number, business address, service content and payment information may be necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations. Without providing this information, you will not be able to use certain Services or enter into a contract with us.  As you use our Service, we may collect passive information through the use of cookies. We may also receive personal information from law enforcement agencies and marketing partners.

We may share your personal information with third party vendors and other service providers that perform services on our behalf, as needed to carry out their work for us, which may include processing of payments, handling of data processing, data verification, data storage, surveys, research, internal marketing, delivery of promotional, marketing and transaction materials, and maintenance and security. We may disclosed your information to third parties in connection with a Maintain IQ-related transaction, such as a merger, sale of MIQ assets or shares, reorganization, financing, change of control or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company or third party, or in the event of a bankruptcy or related or similar proceedings.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties as required by law or subpoena or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement; (b) to enforce our Terms of Use or to protect the security or integrity of our Service; and/or (c) to exercise or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Maintain IQ, our visitors, or others.

If you post comments on our public forum, we share information, such as your personal profile and the content you post, with the general public. You may choose to hide our profile picture.

  1. The Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies to Collect Information

Maintain IQ, and our third-party partners, Google, Inc., Facebook, Inc., Stripe, Amazon, Inc., MongoDB, Inc., and Twilio, Inc. automatically collect certain types of usage information when you visit our Service, read our emails, or otherwise engage with us. We typically collect this information through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, embedded scripts, location-identifying technologies, file information, web beacons, and similar technology (collectively, “tracking technologies”).

We may collect analytics data or use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends of our Service and to understand more about the demographics of our users.

Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Maintain IQ wants you to understand your rights and choices regarding how we may use your personal information. These rights and choices may include the following:

Profile Data. You may update your profile information, such as your user name and email address by logging into your online account.

Notifications.  You may update your notification preferences by logging into your online account.

Access to your Device Information. You may control the app’s access to your device information through your “Settings” app on your device. For instance, you can withdraw permission for the app to access your photo stream and camera.

Modifying or Deleting Your Information. If you have any questions about reviewing, modifying, or deleting your information, if you want to remove your name or comments from our Service or publicly displayed content, or if you wish to cancel your account, please contact us via the contact method described at the bottom of this Privacy Policy.

Communications Preferences. You can stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in the bottom of such communications. We make every effort to promptly process all unsubscribe requests.

We are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices or the content on the websites of third-party sites.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 on our Service. In the event that we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
